Share Text by Link
Turn any text into a shareable link. The text is compressed into the link itself, so no server ever stores it and the link never expires. Free.
Text
Shareable link
The text lives in the part of the address after the hash, which browsers never send to a server.
What this tool is for
Every other paste service stores your text on a server and gives you a short link to it. This one puts the text inside the link: it is compressed and placed after the hash, the one part of an address browsers never send anywhere. Nothing is stored, nothing expires, and there is no page to be taken down or leaked. The trade-off is honest: long texts make long links.
How to use it
- Paste the text you want to send.
- Press create, and copy the link that appears.
- Send it however you like. Whoever opens it sees the text immediately.
Frequently asked questions
Is this actually private?
The text never reaches a server, including ours, because the part of a URL after the hash is not transmitted in the request. But the link itself contains the text, so anyone who sees the link can read it. Treat the link as the secret, and remember that whatever app you send it through can see it.
How long can the text be?
Compression is applied first, so a few pages of plain text fit comfortably. The tool refuses to build a link longer than about 24000 characters, because beyond that messengers and mail clients start truncating it.
Does the link expire?
No. There is no server to switch off and no record to delete, so the link works as long as this page exists.
