Frequently asked questions
Does the code expire?
No. The data is inside the code itself and there is no server involved, so it works for as long as the destination does. Services that offer editable codes point at their own redirect, which stops working when you stop paying.
What error correction level should I choose?
Level M is the sensible default. Choose H, which tolerates 30 percent damage, when the code goes on something that will be scuffed, curved or partly covered by a logo. Higher correction means a denser code.
How small can I print it?
The rule of thumb is a code no smaller than one tenth of the scanning distance, so 2 centimetres for a 20 centimetre scan. Keep a quiet white margin of four modules around it.
