What this tool is for

Density is not a ranking factor you should chase, but it is a useful mirror: it shows what a page is actually about, and whether the phrase you meant to target appears at all. Paste an article and see the words and phrases that carry it, with stop words filtered out so the list is not "the, of, and".

How to use it

  1. Paste the text or article body.
  2. Choose phrase length: single words, two word phrases or three word phrases.
  3. Read the table: frequency and percentage of total words.

Frequently asked questions

What density should I aim for?

There is no target. Modern search engines match meaning, not repetition counts, and anything above roughly 3 percent for one phrase usually reads as forced. Use this to spot a keyword you forgot to mention at all, not to hit a number.

What counts as a stop word?

Common English function words: articles, prepositions, pronouns, auxiliary verbs. They dominate every text and say nothing about the topic, so they are filtered by default.
